Grounded in resilience and hope
Courage to heal. Strength to continue.
Misneach Mental Health is a place where healing begins with the courage to face what feels overwhelming. I am here to help you move forward with renewed resilience and hope.
The Meaning of Misneach
Misneach, pronounced mish-nyokh, is a beautiful Gaelic word that translates to courage, spirit, and resilience. It represents more than just bravery; it is the inner hope required to keep moving forward even when the path ahead feels uncertain. At its roots, the word reflects the strength to face life's deepest challenges with a steadfast heart. At Misneach Mental Health, this concept is the foundation of my practice, embodying the belief that healing is an act of perseverance rather than fate. Here, I honor your innate spirit as we work together to turn vulnerability into a source of enduring power and growth.

About Kim
I am trained in Adaptive Internal Relational Network Therapy (AIR) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, and families in school settings, and have also served the State of Minnesota through roles with both the Department of Corrections and the Department of Health Services. My clinical work is grounded in a strengths-based perspective, incorporating motivational interviewing and solution-focused interventions, with a strong foundation in Adlerian therapy. I am deeply committed to helping you develop your capacity to heal from trauma and move toward becoming your most authentic, empowered self.
I hold a Master’s degree in Adlerian Psychology with a focus on Co-Occurring Disorders from Adler Graduate School, a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Cloud State University. I received my EMDR training through an EMDRIA-approved provider.
I am honored to support the men and women who serve their communities and country, including military personnel, veterans, first responders, firefighters, and law enforcement officers. I recognize the distinct challenges inherent in these professions and am committed to providing a safe, respectful, and confidential space for healing and restoration.
My practice is dedicated to evidence-based, trauma-informed care tailored to the needs of active-duty service members, veterans, and public safety professionals. I understand the occupational stress, cumulative trauma, and high-risk demands that can impact mental health. You can expect a supportive, confidential environment focused on resilience, effective coping, and long-term psychological well-being.
